Copper Phthalocyanine Blue 15:3, a blue organic pigment used in the manufacture of peacock blue inks and clear paints

2021-03-11

Phthalocyanine Blue 15:3(P. B. 15:3),Copper Phthalocyanine (CPC) pigments, is a single stable crystalline form of copper phthalocyanine. Beta-crystalline phthalocyanine blue pigment is one of the three primary colors of printing ink. Can be used to produce three-color or four-color overprinter ink. The β-crystalline Copper Phthalocyanine prepared by ball milling is rod-shaped crystal. Compared with the α-crystalline phthalocyanine pigments, the color light is more green. The crystal form of β prepared by kneading is equiaxed, and the Colored Light is greener than that of α crystal form. The coloring power of β crystalline phthalocyanine blue pigment is 15% ~ 20% lower than that of α crystalline pigment. P. B. 15:3 has excellent resistance to organic solvents, saponification, acid, alkali and heat stability. Although not as heat-resistant as halogenated copper phthalocyanine, but better than stable α crystal phthalocyanine blue pigment heat-resistant.

P. B.15:3 has very good dispersibility and excellent solubility, in the preparation of ink, even if the temperature is higher, will not affect its tinting power and transparency. P. B. 15:3 flocculation occurs when used in systems with high aromaticity content.

P. B.15:3 for the manufacture of peacock blue ink in the ink industry and for the colouring of alkyd enamels, amino baking paints, nitrocellulose paints and clear paints in the paint industry, it is also used for coloring plastic products, stationery, rubber products, linoleum and pigment printing.
